KCC Member Handbook
About Us
The Kenosha Chamber Choir is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to enrich the already vibrant Kenosha arts culture with choral performance and education. In dedication to our strong community roots, it is important to us that everything we do remain accessible to every interested individual.
Our Mission
We are a group of choral enthusiasts of all backgrounds & a wide range of experience (novice-experts) that are dedicated to making quality music and sharing it with the Kenosha community.
Rehearsals
Held Monday nights from 7:00pm to 9:00PM. Our fall season is typically from September till early December and our spring season is typically from February till May. During performance weeks, we may hold additional rehearsals and may extend rehearsal time(s) if needed. Attendance is recorded weekly, and we ask that singers do not miss more than three (3) rehearsals per season. If you do need to miss a rehearsal, please send a quick email to KCC Admin. We do not require a reason for not being able to attend, but we do ask that one follow-up with a choir member to ensure you know what was missed. Personal practice and preparation are expected between weekly rehearsals. We ask that you come prepared to sing for each rehearsal. Taking rehearsal notes/marking your music with a pencil is strongly encouraged. The artistic director may also ask to review music and links as resources for personal preparation.

Membership Dues
Our membership is made up of singers from a wide variety of backgrounds and occupations. We share a passion for choral singing and for the pursuit of musical excellence. In order for us to continue to sing together, we do ask that choir members donate to the organization via a seasonal or annual pledge. We ask for a $75/season or $150/year. This helps cover some of our administrative and operational costs. Donations above the basic amount are encouraged and always appreciated. All donations are tax-deductible.
Please note that no individual will be barred from participation due to inability to pay. If finances are a hurdle for any member, they can confidentially contact the president or treasurer and alternative suggestions/arrangements will be made. Scholarships may also be available on a limited basis.
Concerts
Choir members are strongly encouraged to invite friends/family/co-workers to our concerts and/or fundraisers. Good Concert Attendance is a way we are able to share our love for music within the community as well as helps cover administrative and operational costs through ticket sales.
Donations, Fundraising, Sponsoring, & Voluntering
The Kenosha Chamber Choir (KCC) invites you to join us in spreading the joy of live music within our community.
Please consider an individual gift or corporate sponsorship this season, as it is only through continue support from our community and members like you that we are able to share and expand our legacy of music.
